Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) for a 13-week contract assignment in Waimea, Hawaii. The PT will provide comprehensive rehabilitation services across multiple hospital-based settings, including acute care, emergency, intensive care, skilled nursing, outpatient, and occasional obstetric services.
Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments based on patient needs and clinical assessments.
Provide PT services in the Emergency Department (ER), ICU, Medical-Surgical units, Acute Care, Observation, and SNF settings.
Provide extensive physical therapy services in the hospital-based Outpatient PT Clinic.
Provide occasional PT services in OB as needed.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, exercises, mobility, and safe discharge.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Follow facility policies, patient-safety standards, and infection-control procedures.
Requirements
Current Physical Therapist (PT) license eligible to practice in Hawaii.
Current BLS certification required.
Previous hospital-based PT experience preferred.
Ability to work across acute care, inpatient, outpatient, and SNF settings.
Must be available to work Saturdays.
Strong communication, clinical assessment, and patient-care skills.
Compensation & Contract
Pay Rate: $73|hour
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: M–F, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Saturday availability required
