An established, mission-driven community healthcare organization in Clearwater, Florida is seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician to join its growing Family Medicine Residency Program. This newly created position is due to program expansion and offers an outstanding opportunity for a physician who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and developing the next generation of Family Medicine physicians while maintaining an active outpatient clinical practice.
The position is approximately 60% academic and 40% clinical, carries an Associate Professor title, and offers the potential to grow into a leadership role in the future.
Academic Responsibilities
The physician will serve as core faculty for an established Family Medicine Residency Program with 16 residents and three other physician instructors. Responsibilities include teaching, mentoring and precepting residents; providing clinical supervision; conducting didactic and case-based education; evaluating resident performance and providing constructive feedback; and participating in curriculum development, quality improvement, scholarly activity and faculty development.
The physician will work closely with residency leadership to support program objectives and ACGME requirements while helping create a collaborative and supportive educational environment.
Clinical Practice
Approximately 40% of the position is devoted to direct patient care in a 100% outpatient Family Medicine practice.
Approximately 22–26 patients per day when scheduled in clinic
Outpatient practice only
No inpatient responsibilities
Telephone call approximately once every six months
Comprehensive Family Medicine, including preventive care, acute care and chronic disease management

Compensation
The position offers a highly competitive salary with the ability to offer a higher base depending upon the physician's background, training and experience.
In addition, the physician is eligible for an incentive bonus of up to $30,000, providing potential annual compensation of $230,000+, with additional base compensation possible for highly qualified candidates.
Student Loan Repayment
The position is eligible for both Florida REACH|FRAME and National Health Service Corps (NHSC) student loan repayment programs.
Depending upon individual eligibility and program requirements, physicians may qualify for up to $225,000 in student loan repayment assistance.
Comprehensive Benefits

Qualifications
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited medical school with an MD or DO, be eligible for an active and unrestricted Florida medical license, and be Board Certified in Family Medicine.
Approximately three years of Graduate Medical Education experience is preferred, particularly experience teaching, mentoring, precepting or, supervising Family Medicine residents.
