Uro-Hospitalist Compensation: $750,000 per year Job Type: Full-Time | 7-On / 7-Off Rotation | 24-Hour Availability During Active Blocks Location: Mattoon, Illinois We have partnered closely with a premier regional healthcare facility to recruit a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) Uro-Hospitalist. This is a brand-new, highly specialized position created by hospital leadership to provide dedicated inpatient and acute care support. Responsibilities: Launch and develop a brand-new, dedicated inpatient uro-hospitalist program to manage all acute urological admissions, inpatient consultations, and emergent surgical cases. Work a consistent, predictable 7-on/7-off block scheduling rotation to provide comprehensive coverage for the facility's inpatient needs. Provide dedicated 24-hour availability across your active 7-day block to cover urgent inpatient needs and Emergency Department call. Maintain a flexible presence, with the ability to report back to the hospital in person for acute, time-sensitive consults or surgical emergencies (call volume is traditionally light most of the time). Streamline care transitions by collaborating closely with emergency physicians, hospitalists, and the outpatient urology clinic team. Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records for all inpatient rounds, acute consults, and operative notes.
