Uro-Hospitalist Compensation: $750,000 per year Job Type: Full-Time | 7-On / 7-Off Rotation | 24-Hour Availability During Active Blocks Location: Mattoon, Illinois We have partnered closely with a premier regional healthcare facility to recruit a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) Uro-Hospitalist. This is a brand-new, highly specialized position created by hospital leadership to provide dedicated inpatient and acute care support. Responsibilities: Launch and develop a brand-new, dedicated inpatient uro-hospitalist program to manage all acute urological admissions, inpatient consultations, and emergent surgical cases. Work a consistent, predictable 7-on/7-off block scheduling rotation to provide comprehensive coverage for the facility's inpatient needs. Provide dedicated 24-hour availability across your active 7-day block to cover urgent inpatient needs and Emergency Department call. Maintain a flexible presence, with the ability to report back to the hospital in person for acute, time-sensitive consults or surgical emergencies (call volume is traditionally light most of the time). Streamline care transitions by collaborating closely with emergency physicians, hospitalists, and the outpatient urology clinic team. Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records for all inpatient rounds, acute consults, and operative notes. Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution Successful completion of an accredited Urology Residency program Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Urology Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain) Valid DEA registration High clinical competence in acute care urology and a proactive mindset optimized for launching a new hospital-based service line Benefits: $100,000 sign-on incentive that is completely forgiven over four (4) years of service Competitive, standard long-term retention bonus structures Dedicated CME days to support continuous professional development $6,000 annual CME allowance, with all professional state license fees and renewals completely covered Up to $15,000 in relocation assistance provided Fully paid medical malpractice insurance coverage, including complete tail coverage at no cost to you High-end health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance policies Extremely competitive retirement plan with robust employer-funded contributions Note on Compensation: The listed compensation range is tentative and represents the initial base benchmark.
