Night House Supervisor / Patient Flow Specialist Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site | Night Shift Location: Great Falls, Montana We have partnered closely with a prominent healthcare system in Montana to secure a dedicated clinical leader for their hospital administrative team. We are currently seeking an experienced Night House Supervisor / Patient Flow Specialist to provide shift leadership, operational oversight, and clinical guidance in Great Falls, Montana. In this high-visibility role, you will manage hospital-wide patient flow, guide clinical staff on policies and procedures, and optimize nursing resource assignments during night shifts. Working in direct collaboration with clinical leaders and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), you will handle administrative decision-making, staff coaching, and conflict resolution across all departments. This position offers excellent nurse-to-patient ratios, a collaborative work environment, and access to world-class outdoor recreation. Responsibilities: Provide shift supervision and administrative decision-making in collaboration with charge nurses, clinical leaders, and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Optimize patient flow throughout the facility, manage nursing resource assignments, and streamline inter-departmental transfers and admissions. Direct hospital staff in interpreting and applying organizational policies; organize workflows, delegate tasks, monitor productivity, and provide constructive feedback. Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving complex clinical situations, problem-solving, and addressing patient or family complaints/concerns. Work closely with charge nurses, physicians, and clinical and non-clinical support teams to ensure cohesive, safe, and efficient hospital operations. Qualifications: Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program. Licensure & Certifications: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Montana (or immediate eligibility to obtain). Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (required or must obtain within 6 months of hire). Clinical & Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hospital-based RN clinical experience. Recent clinical background in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Emergency Department (ED) setting required. Demonstrated background in patient flow management, serving as a resource nurse, or charge nurse/leadership roles. Clinical experience caring for a diverse patient demographic across all life stages (from infancy to geriatrics). Technical & Clinical Skills: Proficiency operating advanced critical care medical equipment (multiple IV pumps, A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, and ventilator support). Strong background in cardiac monitoring and post-operative/medical patient care management. Exceptional interpersonal, conflict management, critical thinking, and crisis prioritization skills.
