Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN | ER RN) for a travel nursing assignment at a large, high-acuity acute care facility.
The ideal candidate will have extensive Emergency Department experience and a strong clinical background caring for both adult and pediatric emergency patients. Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center is highly preferred.
This opportunity is best suited for an experienced ED nurse who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency care environment and managing patients with varying levels of acuity.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity Emergency Department.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and ongoing reassessments.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate clinical interventions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments according to established protocols.
• Assist with trauma, medical, surgical, and other emergency procedures.
• Manage multiple patients while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.
• Coordinate care with emergency physicians, trauma teams, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and nursing handoffs.
• Follow all facility policies, emergency protocols, infection-control standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license as required for the assignment.
• Minimum 4 years of well-rounded Emergency Department RN experience.
• Strong experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients.
• BLS – Required
• ACLS – Required
• PALS – Required
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department.
