We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Allergy and Immunology Physician to join our healthcare team in the Scottsdale AZ market. As an Allergy and Immunology Physician, you will diagnose and treat patients with various allergic and immunological disorders. You will be responsible for conducting thorough evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages. Your expertise and knowledge in allergy and immunology will contribute to improving the lives of individuals suffering from allergic reactions and immune system disorders.
Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and allergy-related testing.
Identify and diagnose various allergic and immunological conditions, such as asthma, hay fever, food allergies, allergic skin conditions, immune deficiencies, and autoimmune disorders.
Evaluate patients' medical records, laboratory tests, and imaging results to determine appropriate treatment plans.
Treatment Planning and Implementation:
Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' diagnoses, medical history, and severity of symptoms.
Prescribe and administer medications, immunotherapy, and other treatments to alleviate symptoms and manage allergic reactions and immune system disorders.
Educate patients about their condition, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote long-term management and improve overall health.
Allergen Testing and Immunotherapy:
Conduct and interpret allergy testing, including skin tests, patch tests, and blood tests, to identify specific allergens triggering patients' symptoms.
Administer immunotherapy, such as allergen immunotherapy shots or sublingual tablets, to desensitize patients to allergens and reduce allergic reactions.
Provide consultations to colleagues on complex allergic and immunological cases and offer expert advice on treatment strategies and management.
Requirements:
Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
Board Certification: Certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) or equivalent board certification in allergy and immunology.
Licensure: Valid medical license to practice as a physician in the state of AZ or ability to attain license.
Experience: Previous experience in the field of allergy and immunology is preferred but new fellows will be accepted.
