New Quality Assurance - Safety Officer Opening at a general medical and surgical hospital in eastern North Dakota. This 270-bed hospital is a community owned hospital that has undergone recent renovations. In addition, through partnerships with other healthcare networks this hospital is able to provide the best care in its service area. The Quality Assurance and Safety Officer provides leadership for the development of a quality organizational structure; maintains working knowledge of current regulations and standards of all agencies applicable to laboratory, pathology and blood banking industries; establishes, coordinates, implements, and maintains processes and tools to effectively meet applicable regulatory requirements; oversees and coordinates the performance of internal audits throughout the department; makes decisions and recommendations to address identified compliance concerns and opportunities; demonstrates proficiency with software programs; oversees and maintains the quality assurance and safety manuals, data bases, testing programs, records and other related information; assists with hosting|coordinating|data collection and general preparation for all inspections; develops, conducts and documents the training and competency of department staff; chairs pathology and laboratory quality assurance and safety committee. This is a permanent and full time position. For consideration applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology|Clinical Lab Science and MUST HAVE a MT|CLS certification (ASCP preferred). In addition, applicants must have three (3) years professional laboratory work experience or one (1) year quality assurance focused work experience. Recent experience preferred.
